Perform Internal and Outdoor thermal comfort studies and analysis.
Be actively involved in MEP/HVAC equipment option review, sizing and optimisation.
Be able to undertake natural ventilation analysis.
Undertake building regulation (Section 6 and Part L) compliance assessments.
Understanding and managing project specific certification and targets with a range of sustainability rating tools such as BREEAM, WELL, LEED and SKA.
Undertake building massing and orientation studies.
Provide training and support to other internal team members.
Work competently on an independent basis or as part of a wider team and be responsible for reporting to line manager.
Communicate directly with other design team members, including attendance at meetings, where required to suit project needs and sustainable design solutions and targets.
Manage your own workload to suit project deadlines and requirements.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external design team members.
Be actively involved in compliance with RSP Business Management Systems.
Preferred Skills:
Experience and working knowledge of an MEP environment on multi-disciplinary projects.
Accredited BREEAM, LCC and LCEA assessor.
Good and confident communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry design software (i.e IES VE, Grasshopper, Rhino).
The candidate should demonstrate a strong work ethic and a drive to uphold company values and a personal pride and commitment in the delivered information to the Client, Design and Construction Teams.
Requirements:
Valid UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to do overtime, when and if required.
Must be prepared to travel within the UK. This may involve early morning starts, late finishes and occasionally overnight stays.
